Do we have to re-upload our archive?
No. Point eColorway at the folders or file server where your designs already live: it ingests the existing archive, then watches for anything new or changed. Uploading from the admin panel is there when you want it, not required.
Do we need ColorwayXpress?
No. eColorway is a standalone product: it works with designs and colorways from Photoshop or any other tool, straight from your design folders. If you do use ColorwayXpress, eColorway connects to it and publishes every save instantly, with a durable local queue and publish toggles inside ColorwayXpress.
How does SmartCategorization know our categories?
You give it your category list — floral, leaf, tropical, or whatever your studio calls them — and it assigns them to each new design on arrival. If you use ColorwayXpress, the list you keep there is used as is. You can change any suggestion; the list stays yours.
Can we keep our categories in more than one language?
Yes, in as many as you need. Each category carries a name per language; users see the list in their own language, and filtering works across all of them because it is the same category underneath.
What can we search by?
By typing a description ("strawberries on a dark ground"), by dropping in a photo (Visual Search), or by combining fields: design number, category, customer, screen status, number of screens, studio, notes and any custom field you add.
Can our customers see everything?
Only what you allow. You create an account per customer, filter which designs it can see, and set a day limit. When the limit passes, access closes on its own.
Which ERP systems can it connect to?
eColorway exchanges data with the ERP or SAP system you already run, through a connector configured for your setup. Screen status, customer and design fields are then pulled live, with no manual updates. Tell us which system you use and we will confirm the details.
Can customers recolor designs in the browser?
No — by design. Colorways are made by your designers, in whatever tool they use, and appear in eColorway automatically, grouped under their design. Customers browse, compare and request; your studio keeps control of what goes to print.
Does it work on phones and tablets?
Yes. eColorway is a web application with previews rendered for desktop and mobile screens, so sales reps and customers can browse from anywhere.
